Bambu Lab P1P Product Specifications

Bambu Lab, a leading provider of 3D printing technology, has just launched its latest 3D printer, the P1P in Australia. The P1P is a more affordable alternative to its predecessor, the X1, and offers similar features and capabilities.

The P1P boasts a kinematics system, motion control system, and "state-of-the-art electronics" as well as vibration compensation and pressure advance. It also has a build volume of 256 x 256 x 256 mm, making it suitable for most modern FDM machines. The extruder and direct extruder is the same as the X1, but the hot end is different.

The P1P is capable of accelerating at 2000 mm/s and maintaining a speed of 500 mm/s, making it one of the fastest 3D printers in the market. The P1P uses the CoreXY motion system, which is known for its quick and stable movements. This motion system is expected to provide good levels of stability, particularly at higher print speeds.

The P1P is also equipped with a 300 °C-capable all-metal hot end that allows for the use of various exotic filaments, however, carbon and glass fiber polymers are not recommended. It also comes with a dual-sided textured PEI-coated print plate which is known for its durability, adhesion and flexibility.

The P1P is also compatible with Bambu Lab's automatic material system, making it easy to use and efficient. With its impressive features and capabilities, the P1P is an affordable option for anyone looking for a high-quality 3D printer.

Overall, the Bambu Labs Carbon X1 is a powerful and reliable 3D printer that is perfect for professionals and advanced users who demand the highest quality prints. So, it is a perfect choice for 3D printing enthusiasts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the difference between the X1 Carbon and the P1P?

A: Both printers have the same chassis, carbon rods, and CoreXY design, making them very fast and stable. The X1 Carbon is a fully enclosed printer with a hardened steel nozzle that can print exotic materials like carbon fibre filament. It also includes a Lidar sensor for bed levelling and error detection. On the other hand, the P1P is a barebones printer with no covers and a stainless steel nozzle. It has a textured PEI sheet for the print bed, a touchpoint auto bed levelling system, and no filtration system. While both printers have similar print quality and speed, the X1 Carbon is better suited for high-temperature and abrasive materials, while the P1P is more suitable for printing with PLA, PETG or TPU

Q: Can I add an AMS unit to the Bambu Lab Carbon X1?

A: Yes, you can add an Automatic Material System (AMS) unit to your Bambu Lab Carbon X1 printer at a later stage (with a maximum of up to 4 units with the capability to print in 16 colours). The AMS is a small unit that sits on top of the X1 and feeds four rolls of filament into it. It allows you to print a single model with four different colours or to use different materials in the same build.

Q: Why is it cheaper on the Bambu Lab website?

A: At 3D Printer Gear, we provide local support and assistance, including in-house warranty and repair services.
