Transparent, strong, sterilizable parts for regulated biocompatible applications

BioMed Clear Resin is a transparent, hard, strong, and wear-resistant material for biocompatible applications requiring long-term skin contact (>30 days), breathing gas pathways, and mucosal membrane contact (>30 hours), or short-term bone, tissue, and dentin contact (<24 hours).

This USP Class VI certified material is suitable for pharmaceutical and drug delivery applications and uses that require wear resistance and low water absorption over time. Parts printed with BioMed Clear Resin are compatible with common sterilization methods.

BioMed Clear Resin is manufactured in an FDA-registered, ISO 13485 certified facility and is supported with an FDA Device Master File.

Why choose BioMed Clear Resin?

Transparent + rigid

Clear parts support visual inspection and fluid/gas pathway verification while maintaining a rigid, strong feel.

Wear resistance + low water absorption

Designed for applications where surfaces see repeated contact and where moisture uptake must stay low over time.

Biocompatible + sterilizable

Supports long-term skin contact and other indications, with compatibility for common sterilization methods (see documentation).

Regulated manufacturing support

Produced in an FDA-registered, ISO 13485 certified facility and supported with an FDA Device Master File.

Applications

Use BioMed Clear Resin for transparent, rigid parts where validated biocompatibility and sterilization compatibility are required.

  • Breathing gas pathway components
  • Transparent housings, covers, and inspection features
  • Pharmaceutical and drug-delivery components (USP Class VI)
  • Wear interfaces, guides, and fixtures requiring low water absorption over time
  • Medical R&D parts requiring long-term skin contact (>30 days)

Note: Indications and performance depend on validated printing + post-processing. Always follow the IFU and validate your full process for your use case.

Workflow overview

Standard SLA sequence of wash → dry → post-cure, with strict discipline for biocompatible use: dedicated validated equipment, following the Manufacturing Guide/IFU, and internal validation for your application.

Typical post-processing summary

  • Wash: Use the validated wash method/time in the IFU to ensure clean surfaces.
  • Dry: Allow parts to dry completely before curing.
  • Post-cure: Required for biocompatible materials; follow the validated cure cycle in the Manufacturing Guide/IFU.

Best practice: For optical clarity, cleanliness and correct curing matter. Use the official documentation for your exact equipment and cycle.

Sterilization & disinfection

Parts printed with BioMed Clear Resin are compatible with common sterilization methods. Refer to the documentation for validated conditions and compatibility guidance.

Important: Properties and transparency can vary with geometry, settings, and sterilization method. Validate your complete process for each application.
