What our customers say about us
Lovely people, great product. The guys at 3D were super helpful and generous, and looked after me really well when there was a delivery issue with the courier.
I used this supplier on advice from a colleague and will be giving the same advice!

When I purchased the printer I explained what I needed and they assisted me to get the right printer (Bambu Carbon X1 combo) and it worked right out of the box. Is not the cheapest printer (although it was a good price at this retailer) but this was for r&d and the key issues were simplicity, reliability, and speed. This printer delivered those perfectly. I’ve never 3D printer before and I’m making several prototypes in a day now. I just sketch a design, import it, and hit print. Works like a dream :)
Awesome vibrant young established talent. From what I saw and the mass of thier operation they are a wonderful team and great energy emerging into the future of Australia 3d printing services. Keep it up guys you are all champion of your uppurposes in your field.
Jeremy invited me to his establishment during the week and I couldn’t make it so he said I could come in on Saturday. It wasn’t the usual shopping experience it was like going to a mates house who’s got all the toys and he answered all my uneducated questions with expertise and humility. He walked me thru his business and had all the time in the world for me and my young son.

I bought a way superior printer not because he pushed it on me but because he made feel comfortable in knowing I would enjoy it more. I had lots of extras thrown in and when I got home he video called me and helped me with technical questions as well as options to where I could buy other equipment.
In summary I believe I couldn’t have had a better experience buying a 3D printer. We are loving it and thanks Jeremy. I think You will go far!!
These guys have been in the 3D printing business for a long time and definitely know what they’re talking about. I started following their journey since attending the workshop they ran at Engineers Australia several years back. I have also been a customer at a couple of occasions - did not disappoint. All the best Jeremy and team!
After entering the 3d printing world a few years ago I knew I had vision but no fixed direction. Not knowing exactly what I needed I turned to a friend in Melbourne who runs his own successful small printing business. He suggested to try 3D printer gear as he’d never had any issues with their products or service.

So I reached out figuring I could always change my mind but and let me tell you, the tech support, experience and service are absolutely top tier. Jeremy and the team have been with me every step of the way from selecting a printer, idea conception, supplying quality filaments that meet my every expectation, troubleshooting and tech support. If I have an issue they have the answer.
Now I’m developing prototypes for corporations and have an international patent on the horizon. 3D printer gear is an absolute ace in the pocket when it comes to solving my businesses needs. They put the feeling of family in service.
If the measure of a man is the tools he chooses, then 3D Printer Gear is the yardstick by which all should be measured. As a craftsman who appreciates both quality and reliability, I was thoroughly impressed by the range of 3D printers offered by this fine establishment, particularly those built in-house. These machines are the embodiment of durability and precision, akin to a finely crafted canoe gliding seamlessly through still waters.

The mastermind behind this operation, Jeremy, is not just a salesman but a true OG of 3D. His expertise and passion for this craft are evident in every product that graces the shelves of his shop. It’s rare to encounter someone who not only understands his trade but also respects the artistry behind it.
Let’s talk about their filament range, particularly the Filaform brand. This filament is to a 3D printer what a perfectly aged steak is to a hungry carnivore. It’s the bees knees, indeed. The quality of the prints it produces is exceptional, with a consistency and reliability that I deeply appreciate.
The customer service at 3D Printer Gear is as robust and dependable as their printers. The team is not only knowledgeable but also remarkably efficient, ensuring that orders and repairs are handled with the kind of speed and proficiency that one would expect from a top-tier establishment.
In a world cluttered with mediocrity, 3D Printer Gear stands out like a lighthouse in a storm. For anyone venturing into the realm of 3D printing, whether as a seasoned craftsman or a curious novice, I wholeheartedly recommend this beacon of excellence. Five stars are not enough to capture the quality and service provided by Jeremy and his team. They are, without a doubt, a cut above the rest.

Taught by someone who has been at it since 2013

“I started in 2013 by building a Prusa i2 from a kit I found on eBay — then sat next to it for 18 hours straight watching it make a motor housing out of thin air. That is when I realised the potential.”
Since then Jeremy has worked across industries to demonstrate, integrate and manufacture 3D printed solutions — and built 3D Printer Gear into a Melbourne showroom with 850+ five-star reviews. The bootcamp exists to shortcut years of trial and error into 90 minutes.

Before you book
Do I need to own a 3D printer?
No — and most people who come do not. We provide the printer and the laptop for the session. If you are deciding what to buy, you will leave with a much clearer idea of what suits you.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
No. Laptops with Bambu Studio already installed are set up for you, so no time is lost on downloads and drivers. Bring your own if you would rather learn on your own machine.
I have never printed anything. Is this too advanced?
It is built for exactly that. We start at loading material and preparing the build plate, and no question is treated as a silly one.
I have been printing for a while — is it too basic?
The first half will be familiar, but the slicer deep-dive, model sourcing, designing with AI and the open Q&A are where experienced printers tend to get their value.
Can I bring my own printer or a failing print?
Yes — bring the print that is giving you grief. The final part of the session is an open forum, and troubleshooting a real failure is the fastest way to learn.
What if I cannot make my session?
Get in touch before the day and we will move you to another Saturday.
Stop guessing. Start printing.
Ninety minutes this Saturday, and the guesswork is behind you.
