Think big. Print bigger — without sacrificing reliability

The Prusa CORE One L combines a large-format CoreXY motion system with active chamber heating and a high-performance Nextruder platform. It arrives fully assembled and pre-calibrated, so you can go from unboxing to your first print fast — then scale up into production fixtures, jigs, prototypes, education labs, or print-farm workflows with consistent results.

Large build volume (300 × 300 × 330 mm): Print big functional parts, fixtures, architectural models, cosplay pieces, and production tools in one piece — no splitting, no alignment headaches. Great when you need real-world scale, strength, and faster iteration.

Actively heated chamber (up to 60 °C): Stabilises the print environment to reduce warping and improve interlayer bonding, especially on larger parts. This is a major advantage for engineering materials and repeatable production output.

AC convection heatbed for even heating: Designed for large-format prints where edge-to-edge temperature matters. Better heat distribution means fewer corner lifts, fewer first-layer surprises, and more confidence printing close to the bed’s full area.

Nextruder platform (Direct Drive): All-metal hotend, high-performance cooling, and a proven extrusion system built for consistent flow. Includes a high-flow 0.4 mm brass CHT nozzle plus an abrasive-resistant 0.4 mm nozzle in the box — ideal if you plan to run filled filaments.

Automation + speed without the “tuning tax”: Load-cell based fully automatic first layer calibration, automatic mesh bed levelling (print area only), Input Shaper for higher speeds with controlled ringing, and built-in accelerometer support for modern motion control features.

Remote management or fully offline — your choice: Print via USB drive / LAN / internet using Prusa Connect or the Prusa App. Prefer air-gapped workflows? Run the printer offline for maximum control and policy compliance in labs, universities, and secure environments.

Internal camera included (optional installation): Monitor prints remotely (when used with Prusa Connect), validate first-layer success, and keep an eye on long runs. Great for print farms and education labs where visibility saves time.

  • Fully assembled and pre-calibrated from the factory — designed to be ready to print right after unpacking.
  • Layer height range: 0.05–0.30 mm to balance detail vs throughput.
  • Quick-swap nozzle system makes maintenance and material changes faster.
  • Supports multi-material printing with MMU3 support (MMU3 for CORE One L planned availability in Jan 2026).

Materials & Where CORE One L Shines

The CORE One L is built to cover everyday printing and the materials that usually need an enclosure and stable temperatures. With the right setup, it’s an excellent platform for prototyping, functional parts, and light production work.

Supported materials (core)

  • PLA / PETG for fast prototyping, models, fixtures, and general production parts.
  • Flex (TPU/TPE) with Direct Drive control for reliable extrusion and flexible part performance.
  • PVA for soluble support workflows (material compatibility depends on your print profile).
  • PC / PP / CPE / PVB for stronger or more temperature-resistant functional parts.

For higher emissions materials (recommended add-on)

  • ABS / ASA / HIPS / PA (Nylon) are supported when using the optional Advanced Filtration System.
  • Ask us about best-practice ventilation and filtration for classrooms, labs, and offices.

Performance: Speed, Quality, and Repeatability

  • Input Shaper helps push print speeds while keeping ringing under control.
  • Load-cell first layer reduces the most common print failure point: the first layer.
  • 360° cooling improves overhangs, bridges, and surface consistency (especially on PLA/PETG).
  • High-flow nozzle included for faster throughput where detail isn’t the bottleneck.
  • Abrasive-resistant nozzle included for filled filaments (carbon/glass/metal-filled), where standard brass nozzles wear quickly.

If you’re moving into production fixtures or large functional parts, we can help you choose profiles that prioritise dimensional accuracy and strength (wall strategy, infill, layer height, temperature stability, and cooling strategy).

FAQ

1) Is it really ready-to-run out of the box?

Yes — the CORE One L ships fully assembled and pre-calibrated. You’ll still choose your filament/profile, but the platform is designed to minimise manual tuning and first-layer setup time.

2) What’s the advantage of an actively heated chamber?

It keeps the print environment stable, which helps reduce warping and improves layer bonding on larger parts and more demanding materials. This is especially useful when you’re printing big functional components.

3) Can I run abrasive filaments (CF/GF/fill) safely?

Yes — it includes an abrasive-resistant 0.4 mm nozzle in the box. For long-term abrasive printing, we can also recommend wear parts and best-practice maintenance to keep extrusion consistent.

4) How do I print ABS/ASA/PA in an office or classroom?

Those materials are supported when using the optional Advanced Filtration System. We recommend matching the printer setup to your room’s ventilation and usage pattern — ask us and we’ll suggest the best approach.

5) Can I run it offline?

Yes. You can print locally via USB drive and operate the machine without cloud services if required for policy or security reasons.
