King of Reliabilty

By: on 26 April 2023
Bit of a similar story. I didn't have any 3D drawing experience, only 2D CAD skills. I wanted to get into it, but wasn't ready to drop that kind of money into a product I wasn't sure would "stick". So I got an Anet A6. It was horrible junk, unreliable, but it made me learn 3D stuff so I could actually create things. However, the A6 quickly became a hassle to use. Even worse was its known missing safety features that could literally burn your house down. Fiddling with it and even worse, looking after it constantly, printing it unreliably and slowly made me throw money at a Prusa Bear MK3 and boy was I glad I did. Now all of a sudden, I could just get into designing and just put the printer on. I've literally had almost a couple of crashes on the MK3 using it via Octoprint and forgetting that I hadn't removed the previous print. Also, multiple times after like an hour of printing, I've gotten the feeling of "oh sh.. I put it on but have forgotten to check it out once". All - and I do mean all - failed prints have been user errors like the wrong filament or plate in the machine with the wrong profile. The Bambu printers look good, but I'm not yet convinced how good they are. I'll likely get a Prusa Bear MK4 as I expect the same reliability from it as the MK3. Maybe in the future, I'll check out competitors, but I also got an Ender 3 v2 out of curiosity because it was said by some to be a Prusa Bear MK3 killer. Now I've laughed at this claim multiple times. Sure, it "works" and is incredibly better than the A6, for instance, but I almost immediately modded it with a second stepper from a disassembled A6, by the way, and put a BLTouch to make it nicer to use with magnetic sheets. Still, it lacks filament detection, speed, etc., and has mostly been standing still in the garage. It's not even close to being a Prusa Bear MK3 killer, even after a few mods. The Prusa Bear MK3 just works so damn well and reliably.

Very much worth it

By: on 26 April 2023
I wanted a Prusa but couldn't justify dropping that much when I wasn't certain how long or deep I'd get into this new hobby. So I bought an Anet A8. Quickly realised both the value of 3D printing and how frustrating an unreliable and untrustworthy cheap printers can be, so upgraded to a Prusa Bear. Best decision ever and now I get to spend more time on designing printing and assembling stuff, rather than faffing with the printer.

Now I get it.

By: on 26 April 2023
I have to say, I avoided Prusa because I couldn't understand the hype - bought one to trial, and now I get it. It's amazing. I'm kind of gobsmacked at how well it works, how optimized and how nice the prints come out. So l've already ordered a 2nd one.

It's a beast

By: on 24 January 2023
Hey. I've been printing for years, gone through a lot of different printers, but now my prusa bear is on it's way. I got so tired of all the constant maintenance on my other printers and heard that this is a lot better. Printing within 5mins out of the box and it's just going non-stop.

The Bear is Alive!!!

23 January 2023
After owning an original prusa i3 mk3s+ and a prusa Mini+ for a few years and recently having major issues I found the Prusa Bear MK3S+, at 3DPrinter Gear and went down to their store and purchased one. I was not disappointed this thing is a "BEAR" and the prints I have done to date are great, similar if not better than the original prusa i3 mk3s+ and it is faster too. The build plate that it came with is fantastic the prints are flawless and come off easy. I found the Staff there are all great guys knowledgeable and take the time to listen to and help with your 3d printing issues and or needs.
