No post-curing required. Wash, dry fully, and move straight into investing and burnout.
Ultrafine Detail
High stiffness supports thin, delicate features — perfect for lightweight jewelry and fine filigree geometries.
Smooth Surfaces
Designed for refined surface quality and easy support removal, helping reduce finishing time pre-cast.
Applications
Castable Wax Resin is designed for investment casting workflows where accuracy, fine feature capture, and clean burnout are critical — across jewelry and dental labs.
Consider Castable Wax Resin for:
- Delicate filigree designs and lightweight jewelry
- Thin pieces with fine details that require shape retention
- Direct investment casting patterns
- Dental casting/pressing patterns (e.g., crowns, bridges, and RPD framework patterns)
- Custom try-ons and prototypes for production workflows
Tip: For heavier jewelry patterns, consider Castable Wax 40 Resin (higher wax fill) depending on geometry and casting requirements.
Material Properties
*Note: Properties can vary based on geometry, orientation, settings, and temperature. Always follow manufacturer documentation for validated processing and burnout guidance.
Workflow Overview
Castable Wax Resin is designed for a streamlined print + wash + dry + cast workflow. It does not require post-curing.
- Print using the Castable Wax preset for your Form 4 Series printer.
- Wash in IPA for the shortest time needed to remove liquid resin (Form Wash setting: 5 minutes in IPA).
- Dry fully — ensure all solvent has evaporated / been removed before investing and burnout.
- Do not post-cure (not required). If post-curing is used, slight shrinkage (<1%) may occur and can distort thin parts.
- Invest + burnout using a validated burnout schedule for your investment and metal/alloy (see the burnout guide below).
Jewelry note: If you’re washing manually instead of Form Wash, follow the burnout guide’s cleaning recommendations before investing.
