ELEGOO OrangeStorm Giga Large-Format 3D Printer
Industrial-scale FDM printing for oversized parts, props, prototypes, and production tooling — with an 800 × 800 × 1000 mm build volume, fast motion system, and modular multi-nozzle upgrade path.
Scale highlight: Huge 800 × 800 × 1000 mm build volume and 820 × 820 mm PEI platform area (4 independent plates).
Heating highlight: Four independent 410 × 410 mm PEI magnetic platforms, up to 100°C — heat the whole area fast, or heat only the zone you’re using.
Speed highlight: Max toolhead speed up to 300 mm/s (150 mm/s recommended) with a high-performance controller for large-format throughput.
- 4-zone heated bed for more efficient warmup and power usage on big plates
- One-click auto-leveling using a non-contact sensor for consistent first layers
- Optional multi-nozzle upgrades for printing multiple parts at once
- Wi-Fi / USB / LAN file transfer and common model formats (STL, OBJ)
- Detachable 10.1" touchscreen for convenient operation
Large-format printing for oversized parts and assemblies.
Fast / Stable / Modular
Fast Motion System
Built to keep large prints moving — with a max toolhead speed up to 300 mm/s (150 mm/s recommended) and a controller designed to handle the demands of big-format kinematics.

Efficient 4-Zone Heated Bed
The bed is split into four independent 410 × 410 mm PEI magnetic plates (up to 100°C). Heat the entire surface when you need it — or heat only the zone you’re printing on for better efficiency.

High-Temp, Consistent Extrusion
A 300°C capable hotend (0.6 mm nozzle included; 0.4/0.8/1.0 mm optional) plus PID auto-calibration and an acceleration sensor to help maintain temperature control and reduce vibration artifacts.

Modular Multi-Nozzle Throughput
Scale output by adding up to three additional printheads on the X-axis (up to four nozzles total) — ideal for printing multiple parts at once or producing the same part in parallel.

Rigid Frame + Linear Guides
Built with an integrated body design and linear guide motion system to improve stability and lifespan — important when printing tall parts and long toolpaths.

Materials + Workflow
OrangeStorm Giga is built around a straightforward large-format FDM workflow: level, slice, send, print, and monitor. The printer supports Wi-Fi / USB / LAN transfer and common model formats, making it easy to integrate into a workshop or education lab.
From model to oversized part
- Prepare: Slice in your preferred workflow (supports STL/OBJ inputs), choose nozzle size, and set large-format supports/brims as needed.
- Level: Run one-click auto-leveling to dial in first-layer consistency across a big platform.
- Print: Heat only the required bed zones and start the job (resume print + filament detection supported).
- Scale output: Add printheads later if you want parallel printing throughput.
Filament compatibility
Official compatibility is listed for PLA / PETG / TPU. With a 300°C hotend, additional materials may be possible depending on profile support and environment (enclosure, drying, etc.).
Operator-friendly controls
A detachable 10.1" HD capacitive touchscreen helps with day-to-day operation, with model preview support and multi-language UI.
Who It’s For
Props + Cosplay + Set Builds
- Print oversized shapes in fewer parts
- Reduce seams, joins, and alignment headaches
Ideal when you want big, visual-impact parts that don’t need to be split into a dozen pieces.
Prototyping at Full Scale
- Validate ergonomics, fit, and assembly at 1:1
- Rapidly iterate large housings and fixtures
Best for product teams that need full-size evaluation without machining lead times.
Education + Makerspaces
- Big platform for class projects and demonstrations
- Simple workflow with auto-leveling + resume printing
A standout for STEM labs that want “wow factor” prints without complex day-to-day operation.
Results
Why teams choose OrangeStorm Giga
- Massive capacity: 800 × 800 × 1000 mm build volume for oversized parts.
- Smarter heating: 4-zone PEI bed up to 100°C, with automatic zone recognition and independent control.
- Throughput options: upgrade to multi-nozzle printing (up to 4 heads) for parallel output.
- Stability-first build: linear guides and rigid frame design for large-format repeatability.
What our team likes
- Heating only the zone you’re printing on — helpful when you’re not using the full platform
- Optional nozzle sizes (0.4 / 0.6 / 0.8 / 1.0) to balance detail vs. speed
- Modular upgrades that let you scale output over time
