Flexion Single Extruder Kit

Flexible filament extruder retrofit kit for single-extruder direct-drive machines, such as Wanhao Duplicator i3 or Monoprice Maker Select. The Flexion extruder will allow full-speed printing of ultra-flexible filaments. The precision machined components allow your printer to push on filament harder, achieve high pressure in the nozzle, and control of feed rates very closely. The self-cleaning drive will keep your long prints from failing due to a clogged drive. Works will with Ninjaflex, Filaflex, flexible PLA, TPU, TPE ultra-flexible filament down to 50 Shore A, and all the standard rigid filaments like ABS and PLA.

This kit requires you to disassemble your printer's extruder and reinstall this upgrade.Flexible filament extruder retrofit kit for single-extruder direct-drive machines, such as Wanhao Duplicator i3 or Monoprice Maker Select. An excellent extruder upgrade for

By: on 19 June 2017
An excellent extruder upgrade for my school's 3D printer. I'm now able to get much better results with flexible filament, no more wasted material, failed prints and spaghetti everywhere. A well-made product with clear instructions that my students could follow. It is expensive, but worth it if you want to print flexible material.

I am only new to

By: on 26 April 2017
I am only new to using 3D printers I am 61 years old but I find them fantastic and fun to use. I purchased a cheap Pursa i3 DIY machine just to find out how they worked as well as see if I could learn to use one. The first thing I came to realize is that not all extruders are the same. The original extruder did not feed well it jammed on a regular basis and was frustrating to use I nearly just gave up. However I did a bit of web browsing and came across your site advertising the Flexion single extruder replacement kit that would suit my basic machine . I very nearly did not purchase the Flexion extruder but I am so glad I did now. I found it easy to install and setup using your on line how too's. So far I have printed quite a few objects with no sign of the extruder either jamming or failing to feed the filament through to the hot end. The Flexion Extuder would have to be the best upgrade yet to transform an average printer and turn it into a far more reliable printer. Its a fantastic well made unit that I would recommend to any one. Cheers Roger

The Flexion extruder bolted on

By: on 10 November 2016
The Flexion extruder bolted on to my cheap CTC ebay 3d printer with only minor modifications to the printer extruder holder. After adjustments to the grabbing tension the flexion extruded PLA beautifully. First print failed due to a belt skipping teeth (cheap printer with wobbly cog holder), fixed that issue tried again. Second print went for 40 hours (don't know why) and the extruder worked flawlessly! I set the flow of the extruder to 80% and it was still over extruding slightly. The third print failed terribly! Sometime in the night something horrible had made its way through the extruder, it looked like a murder scene! A big dark blob on the print and the printer head was covered in the same horrible looking stuff. and the nozzle was jammed. I forced some filament through and it sort of kept going but clearly wasn't happy. The print required a bit of monitoring after this incident and eventually failed to print for enough layers that I cancelled it and started the clean up. The insulation around the hot end was missing several pieces so I wondered if that was the horrible mess? But I am hopeful the horribleness was all caused by the cheap PLA (which came with the printer) and the damage to the insulation was a side effect of this initial failure. So I've removed all of the insulation (as it was ruined) and cleaned the hot end which was coated in horrible looking stuff. The nozzle is still awfully clogged, it's soaking in acetone and I'll have another go at cleaning it out again tonight. I give the Flexion Extruder 5 stars. It works really well. I feel like I have let it down by attaching it to a cheap printer and using cheap filament.

This is the best thing I have purchased for my printer, if you haven't bought one of these yet you seriously need to right now
