Its dual-nozzle extrusion system (main + auxiliary) enables dedicated support printing with different materials and efficient multi-colour switching, while an actively heated 65 °C chamber and three-stage air filtration bring engineering-grade capability to your desktop. Pair it with AMS 2 Pro (included in the X2D Combo, optional for X2D) to unlock expanded multi-colour printing and active-venting filament drying.

This keeps the head lightweight for lower inertia and vibration at high speeds, while delivering instant, reliable nozzle switching verified through life-cycle testing of over one million operations.

 

 

Dedicated Support Printing

The main nozzle prints your model while the auxiliary nozzle prints support with a different material. This eliminates filament-change waste, produces cleaner contact surfaces, and dramatically reduces post-processing. PLA pairs with PETG or PVA support; engineering filaments like PA6-CF and PET-CF can use ABS or ASA as support.

Efficient Multi-Colour & Multi-Material

Instant nozzle switching means faster colour changes, cleaner transitions, and significantly less waste compared to single-nozzle colour swapping. X2D also supports TPU + PLA multi-material printing—produce finished parts that combine rigidity and flexibility in a single job.

X2D is equipped with a dual-mode smart thermal control system that accommodates everything from basic PLA to demanding engineering filaments.

Cool Mode — Crisp Overhangs, Door Closed.

In Cool Mode, designed for low-temperature filaments like PLA, X2D draws in fresh cooling air through the external intake vent while expelling warm air through the exhaust. This continuous air exchange ensures overhangs and bridges print cleanly and crisply—even with the door closed.

Heat Mode — 65 °C Actively Heated Chamber For Engineering Filaments.

In Heat Mode, the 300 °C nozzle paired with a 65 °C actively heated chamber enables printing of high-performance engineering filaments such as ABS, ASA, and Nylon. The chamber air is continuously circulated and filtered, maximising heating efficiency so that large engineering parts achieve stronger layer adhesion with minimal warping.

X2D's AI Monitoring System, powered by an on-board NPU, scans the build plate before each print and monitors in real time throughout. With 28 sensors covering the feeding path, thermal environment, and safety status, you can hit print with confidence.

Pre-Print Debris Scan

Before every job, the AI scans the build plate for residual debris, helping ensure a clean, accurate start for every print.

Spaghetti Detection

Computer vision watches the part in real time and flags loose strands, off-bed extrusion, or layer detachments early. When detected, the printer can pause and alert you, reducing wasted time and material.

Nozzle Clumping

The AI monitors the nozzle area for blob formation and material build-up. If clumping is detected, X2D can pause the job to prevent collisions or surface defects, helping maintain clean walls and reliable finishes.

Purge Chute Jam

X2D checks the purge chute during filament changes and colour swaps. If a blockage or buildup is detected, it can pause and prompt clearing to prevent misfeeds, failed tool changes, or stringing from incomplete purges.
