Overview

Built into the toolhead, the hot end cooling fan keeps the heat break cool so filament stays solid until it reaches the melt zone. When this fan slows down or seizes, heat creeps up the throat, the filament softens early and the nozzle jams. If a toolhead has started clogging for no obvious reason, this is the first thing to check.
